Data protection
With this data protection declaration, the Austrian Academy of Sciences fulfils its legal information obligations with regard to the protection of personal data.
We only collect and process personal data to the extent as permitted by law. This is the case, for example, if you have given the OeAW your consent to process your data for certain purposes. However, the processing of your personal data may also be necessary to fulfil a contractual or legal obligation, may be based on legitimate interests of the OeAW, or be in the public interest.
We only process your personal data on this website if you use the contact form or contact us in any other way. The processing serves to establish contact, whereby the data will be stored for as long as the purpose of the contact or contact exists, if necessary permanently.
The legal basis for the processing of data in connection with the establishment of contact is therefore the consent of the person making contact (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or a legitimate interest of the OeAW in the proper processing of the use (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
The protection of your personal data is a top priority for the OeAW. If you do not agree to the use of your personal data within the scope of this data protection declaration, please do not disclose your personal data.

Matomo
The website Entangled Recorsings uses the web analysis tool cookieless Matomo for the statistical analysis of visitor numbers. This is an open source web analysis tool. This tool does not use cookies. Instead, it uses visitor config_id – a randomly-seeded, privacy-enabled, time-limited hash of a limited set of the visitor’s settings and attributes.
The config_id or config hash is a string calculated for a visitor based on their operating system, browser, browser plugins, IP address and browser language.
This hash is only valid for less than 24 hours and for a specific website domain. (Link cookieless Matomo: https://matomo.org/faq/general/how-is-the-visitor-config_id-processed/ and https://matomo.org/cookie-consent-banners/).
We use the evaluations created by Matomo to generate reports on website activity and to optimize the information provided on the OeAW website in a targeted manner.
